Jon Bougher and Roman Safiullin

Jon Bougher served as an AmeriCorps VISTA for the National Society for American Indian Elderly (NSAIE), writing grants and coordinating projects for social programs. While at a tribal community college, he created youth media programs and coordinated the first-ever Tohono O’odham Film Festival. Most recently, he interned in New York City with legendary filmmaker Albert Maysles and Arts Engine Inc. He has created several short films, including Closing Costs, Pederson’s Africa and A Natural Death.

Roman Safiullin received training in cinema studies and has varied experiences in film production. He has mixed sound on short films, operated camera on television specials and advised on story editing in feature-length documentaries. More recently, he co-created a series of webisodes documenting the production of The Attic Door, a feature film shot in the Utah desert.

He has interned at Post FX production house based out of Orlando, FL and, in addition to the course work at the University of Florida, he independently produces and directs commercials for AT&T Yellow Pages. He has also created several short films, including Outside Orlando, The Exclusivity of Gainesville, A Grave Affair and A Natural Death.
